3rd Circuit rejects challenge to NJ "may issue" for all carrying
Opinion here.
The court holds that a requirement for a carry permit (for open carry, too) is a "long-standing" form of restriction, even while noting that it dates to 1966, and the standard for granting a permit dates to 1978. (slip opinion at 15).

Does this provide enough of a circuit split to interest the Supreme Court in an appeal?
The California and Hawai'i may-issue challenges are still pending in the 9th Circuit. I think those are the last "may-issue" regimes that haven't been ruled on.
Maybe the Supremes want to wait until every Circuit has spoken about the subject so they can't be accused of acting too soon?
The dissent is excellent and may serve as a good basis for an en banc appeal.
Will it be appealed? THAT is the important question!
Are you F**King kidding me? Founders told us this would happen. Let me know when the party starts.
