Gun free school zones are such a wonderful thing
The result: a surrender to a psychopath. A teacher's ex was stalking her, despite restraining orders. The school resolves the threat by firing her.
A parochial school, too. In my day, the principal would have told one of the nuns "deal with this man," and he would have been faced down by a 4'6" 80 year old woman with an iron will who got her jollies by intimidating Marine drill officers.

Wow, lets just punish the victims here.
I could come up with a few suggestions that could have avoided her being fired. I think the school could have offered her other solutions to the problem or at least tried to help her out. It simply amazes me that a religious organization wouldn't try to help out one of their own, what a way to stand by your own.
I understand the safety issue but they could have at least tried to have solutions other then firing.
I seriously find this disgusting and I do agree that it's things like this that discourage people to come forward about domestic violence.
She needs to move out of California.
Some of the story was glossed over. The ex is in jail but the teacher has not physically been at the school since the incident. Was she fired because of the threat or because the school couldn't afford to pay her when she wasn't working?
Yes, she needs to move from California.
Taught by the gentle Sisters of St Joseph. Think all of them handled a pointer as it were a samurai sword.
MMAN, running away solves nothing and only lets the enemy win.
She needs to sue their pants off, collect a lot of money and get people fired for their retaliation against her as a victim.
Political Correctness is the new Sharia and it needs to destroyed.
The Restraining Order needs to come with a CCW, a Glock 19', a 1,000 rnds of practice ammo and 2 weeks training with a reputable firearms instructor and authorization to shoot on sight. All at the dirt bag's expense. With teeth like that he may be restrained.
Cowardice in the face of evil. Both the school and the unnamed parents.
Anonymous 1:17 And maybe a Youtube posting to show she can hit what she's aiming at.
Firing someone for this is kind of like enabling the "heckler's veto". I'm sure that for her ex getting her fired was if not the goal, certainly a favorable result.
If she had been gay, do you think the result would have been the same, or do you think she would be suing for wrongful termination. I seem to recall a case a few years ago where some organization fired a gay person who was having personal problems similar to this situation, and that was a wrongful termination action.
