DVD on Waco gunfire
One of the major controversies regarding Waco is whether the infrared tapes, made from the FBI aircraft circling overhead, show a firefight at the rear, with shots being directed toward the building. Carlos Ghigliotti, an infrared analyst hired by the House Committee on Government reform, concluded that they did, and he knew his stuff (among other things, he'd imaged gun shots while flying over shooting ranges. But he died before testifying, the Committee claimed he'd never made his report to them ... although he'd faxed me a copy of it, and told me of giving oral presentations on his findings to the Committee staff.
Another infrared analyst who researched the issue at considerable depth (down to determining the internal structure of the FBI imager, to deal with one claim that tried to explain the flashes were sunlight reflections) has now brought out a DVD, which uses the analysis as a teaching tool. It's quite remarkable, both with regard to the physics and with regard to Waco. You can order it here, for a very reasonable $10.95.
