George Zimmerman sues NBC
Story here. I think he has an excellent chance on liability (i.e., of overcoming all the Court-created restrictions on liability for defamation). Damages might be a harder issue. But if he does well in his criminal case, and I think he will, it'd have some beneficial effect here.

Yeah, NBC's edited audio, CNN airing a claim that their expert could hear him say something about "coons" on the audio, and CBS's graphic depiction showing Zimmerman shooting Martin from behind without any prior interaction all contributed to the widespread public vilification of Zimmerman and his family, and the appointment of a special prosecutor.
Hard to prove damages? Really? That NBC report seems to have been the single most significant factor in supposedly proving racism was Zimmerman's motivation. Without it, would he really have been charged?
I don't see how Zimmernam gets convicted. How does this even get to trial?
