New York City is reporting there may have been "some leakage" of storm waters into the subway system. I'd say this suggests more than "some leakage."
UPDATE: the wording used by the New York Times is not leakage, but seepage: "Officials said water also seeped into seven subway tunnels under the East River."

True, but there are many stations in Manhattan that are a block or so from the rivers edge and I have to believe that they took water. I remember a few years ago the path train tunnels - runs between NYC and NJ, were flooded and had to be pumped out.
Point well taken, as the NYC stations will of course look much the same.
Except that is a picture of a station in NJ, not NYC.
