I would eat dirt to vote for this guy for president

Even though I much prefer a Browning 1911 in .45. Out here in sun-parched Arizona, the dirt is generally sterile, so I would eat a lot of it for the privilege of casting a ballot for this fellow. That would be REAL hope and change.

Section 8 of the Constitution says Congress shall have the power "To provide for ... arming ... the Militia..."

And who are the Militia but ordinary citizens?

At the very least, one should get a tax credit after buying a gun.

A politician should have the sense to recommend an American weapon. Maybe a Smith? Or a Colt?

I don't know that I'd want to eat the dirt in my yard (lots of ants and June bugs right now..., but I'd be happy to have him win through write-ins.

I'm with you on the 1911, but if the mandate stated polymer framed 9mm, then I'd prefer an M&P.

Only problem with Arizona dirt is it's mostly sand and that sand is mostly quartz and that is harder than your teeth, so you'd be needing dental care before you got through much of it.

Romney should consider him for VP. It would help with the African American vote and the conservative vote.

Allen West attended several local Tea Party meetings here in south Florida before he was elected.
He is quite impressive in person. He will have a great future in conservative politics as long as he continues to tell the truth and skewer the libs.
Do you think apoplectic is the appropriate word for the left's reaction to his Glock comments?

It's nice to know that, in addition to his apparent views on personal self-defense and safetey, all the other things in that speech are equally super-awesome. That kind of thinking should be as common as washing one's hands.
