Not again....

Posted by David Hardy · 12 November 2011 03:17 PM

Krysta Sutterfield of Milwaukee is part of the open carry movement.... last year she was arrested for it (I assume on overblown disorderly conduct charges), and she and Wisconsin Carry sued, and won a $7,500 settlement.

She was just arrested again, on charges of loitering, while she was parked and using her laptop to cruise the internet. Well, Milwaukee, get out the checkbook.

Has Milwaukee become a "police state" where everything is prohibited.

Once is coincidence, twice is deliberate harassment. Punitive damages time.

Sounds like a standard case of contempt of cop.

She needs to take them each, personally to the cleaners.

Ha! I can hear the police officer now. "But Judge, it was entrapment!"

Well, as I recall the police chief's attitude towards open carry supports that. He said that he knows it's legal, but his men aren't going to worry about that until they've slammed someone into the pavement (a rough but I believe accurate paraphrase).

I was impressed with the attitude of the store owner. Perhaps he'll in due course modify his probably factitious prohibition of concealed carry, since Wisconsin just legalized it this last week, unless he prefers the deterrent effect of open carry....
