Case against killer of Agent Terry sealed

Posted by David Hardy · 16 November 2011 07:22 PM

Here's what I see when I use the court's electronic docket and search for the case by its file number:

Agent Terry3.jpg

Normally there would be links on the side for the case history, a docket sheet listing all the pleadings and motions, and much more. Not here. The entire file is sealed, and even the motion to seal is itself sealed.

The only explanation is that Manuel Osorio-Arellandes and the others were on the government dime at the time of the shooting. This came out at trial and they don't want it public.

Also they are trying to protect Eric Holder, the "Justice department" and probably the president himself. However the part of the president is pure speculation only.

That is outrageous.

How is that a "speedy and public trial?"

What fee would you want to try to get it unsealed (ask the judge, ask the district chief judge, petition the circuit court for a mandamus...)?

I would be willing to contribute to a fund to pay for an attempt to open up the case...
