Emily gets her gun
It's going to be a series at the Washington Times, as one of their reporters tries to get a gun legally in D.C..

Getting a gun illegally is going to be easier almost anywhere I would think. No paperwork, no posted business hours, not waiting for instacheck...
As to this series, I expect it is going to be a very long lived one.
Great article. The more that the public can view this type of information the better. Most average citizens have no idea what the law abiding gun owner has to endure with respect to the morass of rules and regulations that control firearm ownership and possession.
Well, there are a lot of states where the only rules and regs that have to be followed are the federal ones. Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas come to mind. There are, of course, others.
Common sense is not dead after all.
I look forward to all the articles in which Emily Miller will expose the insane infringements of our rights.
It would be a lot more interesting if another reporter would, in parallel, attempt to obtain one illegally. You know, sort of see which way is easier.
