Yet another "Mayor" bites the dust

Snowflakes in Hell has the story. Mayor Gordon Jenkins, of Monticello NY, has been charged with possessing counterfeit-trademarked goods, fraudulent sales tax returns, and possession of pot.

I spent summers in that area growing up - The race track that they put in there seemed to bring out the worse in the politicians, but I repeat myself. Not really, from what I remember it go really bad after the track went in. It was supposed to save the area - nope. Woodstock happened not to far away in Bethel, that was supposed to revive the are, nope. Too many people not working and no jobs. Place basically collapsed when everyone started going to Europe rather than spend summers there and nothing moved in to replace that loss
