Impact of NRA on elections

Posted by David Hardy · 22 November 2010 01:22 PM

A poll reports that 42% of voters listened to NRA's message at least some of the time, in relation to their voting. This would tie in with earlier research indicating that people who think they are NRA members outnumber people who really are current members by about 10:1.

How can someone "think" he's a member of the NRA when he's not??

So far in my district in Mississippi the NRA has blown it twice in a row. In 2006 their endorsed candidate immediately after being sworn in co-sponsored a bill in support of ammunition micro stamping. This year they supported a D who supported Pelosi, this individual was roundly defeated.

How can anyone give the NRA credibility when they were supporting the likes of Harry Reid!

They have made so many poor recommendations, and have pulled some bad ones on different state groups by interfering with legislation. They did it here in Utah. When you tried to talk to them they were arrogant and lied to you. Sorry, I've had all the NRA I can stand.
