College President acknowledges error
Kilgore College president Holda admits he was wrong when claiming that legit gun owners were shooting each other during the Luby's cafeteria slaying. Not quite wanting to back down, he cites VPC and says they shoot each other on other occasions. Campuscarry.com in the linked posting does a good job chopping that up.

Jim, would you please cite the case that the VPC filed the amicus on? Many thanks.

The First Law of Holes: If you find yourself in one, stop digging.
The Trustees of Kilgore should demand Holda's resignation as an embarrassment to the college. He continues to demonstrate his complete incompetence at both public relations and ignorance of academic standards. He gets called on a blatant misstatement of facts, and while offering no defense, simply counter-attacks on the basis of some screed he read somewhere on the internet.
It looks to me like his response says: "I'm sorry you caught me trying to BS everyone", then unleashes another load of crappe to see if anyone is still listening. He's probably just SHOCKED that anyone would question his statements!
I'm with you, Ken - this man has no place as the head of a College. (tho I suspect there are MANY in his position who would willingly prostitute themselves for a PC cause like this one - they just are a bit more cautious than the arrogant Dr. Holda.

Here in RI, the VPC files an amicus brief with our Supreme Court. The anti-gun brief was riddled with distortions, misrepresentations and plenty of complete errors. No one should ever take that bunch of nuts seriousely.
