ATF suit against agent; his answer

Posted by David Hardy · 24 March 2010 08:16 PM

It's linked, over at CleanUp ATF.org. Pretty appalling. (1) The way they screwed this guy over, while letting his bosses take trips at taxpayer expense to hobnob with starts; (2) how they cover up for favored supervisors caught in major wrongdoing and (3) how they and Hollywood pal around.

This the case where the agent sued, and they sued him for slandering the US government! I've never heard even of the idea that the government can file a civil suit for defamation; the only thing that comes close is the prosecutions under the Sedition Act ... which was allowed to expire in 1804 or thereabouts.

That has to leave a mark!

..Hard to believe anyone could slander the BATFE management any worse than their actions have sullied them already. If you talk candidly to BATFE agents, as I used to do at pistol matches, you find that many's the tale of disgust and chicanery they can and will relate.

I don't care as long as they eat each other. I will only care if some of them survive the cannabalism.

As far as BATFE management goes, I believe we learned the truth about that agency years ago. Going back to when the matter on the Waco compound was over and done with a number of supervisors and other higher ups were fired. These people used the threats of going to the media with what they knew about the agency. They were all giving their jobs back along will all lost pay.
Frankly, in light of what I just said, the agency is in the middle of a stink that they are only a part of.
