Hit piece on GLock

Posted by David Hardy · 12 September 2009 07:59 PM

In BusinessWeek. Not a terribly damaging piece, but they're obviously trying hard. When the only spicy allegations come from a guy who was convicted of embezzling from the company...

Hat tip to about six people ...

The part about him fighting off a 67 y/o hitman armed with a rubber mallet is kind of cool!

"71% in the first quarter of its 2010 fiscal year"

Nice to see Business week writers have DeLoreans.

Marty, we have to go BACK, to the FUTURE!

I've worked at companies whose fiscal years begin one or two quarters before the calendar year begins. So, for example, Q1 2009 might begin July 2008, although starting in October is more likely.

It's weird, yes, but it is bean counters we're talking about. I've certainly never heard an explanation for the practice that made much sense at all.

Looks like another case of "big oil" or "big drugs". Hard to read with any credibility with, as it is mentioned, allegations coming from someone convicted of embezzlement.

By the way, I love my Glocks, my personal weapon, a 23, and my dept-issued big bore 21.
