Condition

Posted by David Hardy · 1 June 2009 10:14 PM

Surgeon says I may go home in next few days. Will still be in lousy shape, but at least can be in bad shape under own roof. Number of tubes going into and out of me has dropped from about a dozen to a mere four, and must drop to two for release.

Yeah -- stay that course! Don't know if you prefer to be miserable at home or in the hospital ... but at home you'll have a little more dignity.

They have you using the incentive spirometer?

I hated that thing....

You will most likely find that you recover much faster at home.

Get the hell outta there ASAP, Dave.

Hospitals are bad places to heal; home is generally much better (unless your housekeeping is as bad as mine!).

Didn't know about your ordeal until I saw the ICU photo.

You get better. Hear?

Lots of prayers coming your way. We all need you. You're one of the good guys.

It's true that life in unfair. Butit's also true that those who evince enough piss and vinegar have a leg up on the fairness odds. I'm betting on you, Dave Hardy.
