Supreme Court watching

Posted by David Hardy · 15 April 2009 07:15 PM

A few weeks ago Justice Ginsburg commented that we might see changes in the Court's composition in the near future. Above the Law notes that every Justice has picked his/her four clerks for the next Term.... except Justice Souter, who hasn't picked any. The next Term formally starts in October, but in practice the new clerks begin work over the summer break.

I think Volokh mentioned this a few weeks ago; Souter picks his clerks later than usual.

Too bad The Sleeping Judge hasn't figured out that she should leave. Shouldn't it be consideredd "bad behaviour" to sleep through even a single presentation?

And if she has pancreatic cancer, she too will probably be gone within a year. Pancreatic cancer is something I wouldn't wish even on someone like Hitler or Stalin. May God be with her.

Tiochfaidh ar la!
