Nine bills up for vote in Albany

Posted by David Hardy · 28 April 2009 10:19 AM

Story here. In case you wonder what NY could outlaw that it hasn't already, one of the bills would require firearm dealers to have million dollar liability policies covering criminal misuse by purchasers.

Reader David Lawson asks, "What insurance company would write that kind of policy?" Good point.

I think NY should ban human interaction, supply a large plastic living container like those used for people with failed immune systems, and just keep us apart from each other. Then they can begin a breeding program to develop nongendered humans with the intellect of a mushroom.

Tiochfaidh ar la!

All freakin' right! At last we get down to "corporate" responsibility. So if I am the victim of a drunk driver, I can sue the car maker, the liquor maker, the farmer that sold the harvest the liquor was made of and the maker of the blue jeans the driver was wearing? Damm shame Government Motors and UAW(Chrysler) will be bankrupt soon. Think I can sue the U.S. in their lieu?

Ain't that like applying to have your 2nd rights restored and the congress expressly forbidding agencies using any fed funding for the endeavor?

Aside: Could a petitioner pay the agency upfront?
