Ted Cruz to run for Texas Atty General
Story here. As TX Solicitor General, Cruz wrote one of the most important of the Heller amicus briefs. He'll run for AG if the current AG, a friend of his, decides to run for higher office.
Via the Volokh Conspiracy. where he gets high marks from commenters. e.g., "the dude like Paul Clement has star quality," "The best oral advocate I saw during those four years," "Ted Cruz is awesome. He should win in a landslide, and he will be phenomenal. He's hugely talented, brilliant, and very principled."

Having a Canadian citizen as Texas AG isn't necessarily a bad thing. Isn't Michigan's governor a Canadian too?
Canadian comment is misinformation. dude is going to every blog and trolling.
It's kinda funny, though. As it is so blatantly absurd, but alas
Ted is a Texan.
Sorry, Chuz, but you're wrong. Ted was born in Canada. Just ask him.
I stand corrected. I did a little sleuthing. Please accept my apologies CAN CIT (especially for the name calling).
Born in Canada, Ted Cruz bought his first pair of cowboy boots in ... (wait for it) ... New Jersey.
I think Ted is the greatest Canadian-born Texas Solicitor General ever in the Texas Solicitor General's Office's 10-year history. His the first ever Canadian Texas Solicitor General and is the first ever Canadian to run for Texas Attorney General in this election period. I am obsessed about him and will stalk him until I can bear his Canadian children.
