A bipartisan Congressional task force devoted to protecting the Second Amendment? Some potential there.

I've read their oath of office. They're ALL supposed to protect the 2nd Amendment.

Patrick Toomey (PA-15)

I don't know who from 2004 is still in Congress (Steve King of Iowa is still there), and I don't have time right now to look them all up.

Here's a list of the current co=sponsors of H.R. 197, the National Reciprocity/Right-to-Carry Bill.

Rep. Clifford Stearns [R-FL]
Cosponsors [as of 2009-02-14]
Rep. Roy Blunt [R-MO]
Rep. Nick Rahall [D-WV]
Rep. Michele Bachmann [R-MN]
Rep. Walter Jones [R-NC]
Rep. Mark Souder [R-IN]
Rep. Randy Neugebauer [R-TX]
Rep. Frederick Boucher [D-VA]
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter [R-MI]
Rep. John Boozman [R-AR]
Rep. John Murtha [D-PA]
Rep. Thomas Rooney [R-FL]
Rep. Edward Whitfield [R-KY]

Shouldn't they all be pulling in the same direction, shouldn't there be more co-sponsors for H.R. 197? And really, what have they all done for us lately?

They better get going fast...Holder and Bama are going for a new and permanent AWB...to help Mexico, of course. heh.

That doesn't even meet a small giggle test.
