Women !!!

An intruder breaks in, fires a shot, the couple arms, and this happens:

"According to Babecki, his wife would have fired the rifle, except that she feared she might kill her pet birds in their cage right outside the bedroom."

Good thing they moved to Alabama. They'd throw the book at them for that in New Jersey.

In New Jersey they'd likely be robbed or dead, as they would have been disarmed by the state.

And what's this about "proper permits" in Alabama. If I didn't know better, I'd think the reporter just made that up.

Don't even get me started on the Brady stuff.

"Know your target and what i behind it."

Sounds like a good (non) shoot to me.

I am sure the birds are ecstatic over it.

Too bad that chicken flew the coop. It is about time the sheriff clipped his wings.

Risk of suicide is much higher in areas with Golden Gate Bridges. Using Brady's twisted logic, they should knock that thing down because it's a safety hazard. (!)

I had a lady friend once whom I advised to buy a 20 ga. shotgun for home defense, but she declined, citing her 5 dogs and being afraid they might get hit, so she was going to continue using her .38 special concealed carry revolver as her primary home defense weapon instead. I thought the dogs would probably be in more danger from the revolver than a shotgun, but that was her choice.

Moreover, without laser-sights on the revolver, I felt she was putting herself at greater risk by sticking with that revolver versus having a long gun like a shotgun for home defense. Better range & accuracy, even with a shotgun, since pistols are often very "up close & personal" in actual use.
