Memoir of "the other NRA"

Posted by David Hardy · 16 September 2008 11:46 AM

An ad from 1933, featuring "the other NRA's eagle."

I read somewhere that for a time in DC the National Rifle Association and the National Recovery Administration were officed in the same building. Every day they'd sort out the mail to "NRA" that had gone to the wrong NRA and exchange.

We're the NRA...We do our best AND we vote!

That's interesting. Just a few days back I was watching the old Marx
Bros. movie "Duck Soup" and at the beginning, that eagle NRA logo came
up. I was wondering what that was about and meant to research it, but I
forgot about it until now. Thanks.
