Conflicting news out of NJ

Posted by David Hardy · 29 September 2008 03:05 PM

Story here. On the one hand, the Court of Appeals upheld a ruling striking down Jersey City's one-gun-a-month ordinance. On the other, a bill to impose the same limitation statewide is moving ahead.

· State legislation

What's really interesting is that the original State Bill, was submitted around the same time as Jersey City's attempt to pass local legislation. Also, the woman who drafted the State Bill, her office is in Jersey City.

Make me wonder.....

"This legislation is aimed at illegal guns -- one handgun, per person, per month, that seems pretty reasonable."

How would that affect "illegal guns"...it only affects legal purchases by law-abiding collectors and cowboy shooters who want to buy a matched pair with sequential serial numbers.
What a simpering chimp.
