Off to Blackwater!
In a short time I'll be on the plane for the Blackwater shooting facility, to meet with the other gun bloggers who won the Para Ordinance competition and will also be training there. Blogging will be light for a few days, tho I may be able to post some pics and relate the experience. I hear they ordered in 1,000 to 1,500 rounds per person....

Give the 21st Century Pinkertons my regards.
congrats! i voted for you, in light of completing the documentary and seeing heller settled.
Be sure to take a few minutes to visit the memorial to the fallen contractors. I challenge you to walk around that pond without tearing up.
"I challenge you to walk around that pond without tearing up."
Fly me out there and I'll proove I can meet that challenge. They essentially dragged us into Fallujah, not to mention committed many crimes like itchy trigger fingers around civilians, 14 of them.
Isn't it true that PMI
contractors like Blackwater
cannot take ownership
of Post-86 while places
like Front Sight can?
Good Luck! Don't forget to write........
If Blackwater is, for example, a Class 7/Special Occupational Tax FFL holder, they can manufacture and possess as many posties as they want. There is another manufacturer's license, I think, that places like Colt Defense, FN, and such have, but most of the smaller outfits are just C7/SOTs.
Now, I'm not saying that Blackwater is a C7/SOT. But lots of the bigger training ranges/outfits are.
Cool and good to know.
Being a C7/SOT would be a dream of mine.
But then you would have to sink a lot of capital
into your business....certainly not as much
as with transferable NFA items though.
But go to their site not one select-fire
M-4, M-16, or MP5.
I am writing a book on the National Firearms
Act of 1934...a political and constitutional
essay and history actually.
I just staved off spending $1700 for the laptop I wanted.
Was at BW a couple years ago and shot lots of select-fire toys from their armory. My fav was the para-SAW. Hk was also on hand demo'ing the Hk416.
Erik said that they have an ATF guy assigned to them since they deal with so many NFA weapons.
An ATF guy "assigned to them"? What the heck does that mean?
How much are the courses at Blackwater?
David have a great time, wish i could come with, what a great time you will have.
Now this sounds like some serious fun, although I'm sure the attitude is very professional and seriously taken.
Um yeah, this is me making my jealous face
