Dumb crooks roundup

Posted by David Hardy · 6 August 2008 08:43 PM

Story here. Don't know if I liked the story about the guy who tried to steal copper wire from a live line, or the one about the lady who crashed her car into a convenience store and then tried to buy beer, more.

I live in Dallas so I actually saw the news broadcast that showed the copper thief.

The news crew arrived before the police and fire department. It was good to see a shot of the thief, literally melted to the pole and transformer, shirt in tatters, pants cooked off (not shown), face smudged. News reports state that he is now officially a candidate for the Darwin Awards, died in the hospital 3 days later.

Hopefully, others will learn from this, so I'm voting for this story.
