Disney backs off a little in FLA
Story here. It's claiming that its license to store fireworks (explosives) puts it within an exemption to the statue allowing employees to leave firearms in their parked, locked, cars while working. That's not how I read the statute. Disney has now agreed that employees at sites other than the big one, which has the explosives license, are protected by the law.

I can see a lot of employers-such as large retailers- applying for fireworks permits---even if they never use them-- just to get around the 2nd Amendment.
This is not disney "backing off a
little" - it is a picture of how the company powered over the Bill of Rights with the complicity of the florida legislature and the abuse of federal regulation.
In the 'compromise' Disney acknowledges their employees right of self defense. They can't now limit it to just the smaller venues.
In Disney's own words:
"Until further clarification is received, Cast Members at those facilities . . . will be allowed to keep a gun locked in their personal vehicle as long as they have a concealed-weapons permit, the gun is not visible, and the gun is not removed from the vehicle or exhibited for any reason other than lawful defensive purposes"
