Update on July 11 Chicago rally

Posted by David Hardy · 21 June 2008 10:12 PM

Flyer and updated map for rally here. July 11, 11 AM-1PM. Featured speaker Sunanna Hupp, who is one fine speaker. Her father was killed in the Luby's Cafeteria killings in TX some years ago (when the state banned concealed carry, and open carry unless "travelling," which was undefined) and her experience and advocacy played a role in the state changing its law.

I've seen Susanna Gracia Hupp speak a few times at gun rights events. Not just her dad -- her mother was killed at that Luby's, too.

I can't imagine the pain she has borne but her loss has inspired millions to fight for our rights to self defense and the RKBA.

We Chicagoans are having happy dreams of ten or twenty thousand mobbing the State of Illinois building, which is but a block from the Fifth Floor, as the throne room in known here.
Daley may well hit the road for his Michigan beachfront home in time to avoid the cameras, but it's well within his power and thinking process both to yank the rug on this one at the last minute by pulling the permit. For the children.
Please, one and all, come on down to the Dark Place and test your nerves against the most anti-gun municipality (save SF) and news media in the country.
The similar event in the state capitol of Springfield back in March drew the heaviest under-reporting of anything this year, even including the Anbar Awakening.
Come for the laughs.
But don't drive downtown. Don't. Take the Metra or CTA trains or buses. Trust me.
