Why is this s surprise in Vermont? Other than firearms law, VT is a liberal as it gets. There are many, many wackos there.

This bit was absolutely jaw-dropping:

"Jared's teacher covered her ears, trying to block the conversation, and singing 'la la la la.'

Had to read that a couple of times. That was the Teacher?

Jim, this is surprising because VT is supposed to be a big state for hunting in general. i know i'd be flabbergasted if i heard of anything similar here in Michigan --- i'm thinking we might be seeing only part of the story in this report.

I wonder what would have happened if the kid had brought a squirrel skin to "show and tell"?

That teacher might have needed a good supply of "Depends".

As is happening in many traditional hunting/firearm friendly places, large numbers of liberals from places like NYC and Mass. are moving in. I have some relatives that first moved to NH because the taxes were low and then started trying to make it like the place they left. Taxes went up, they wanted hunting/ shooting restrictions imposed and a variety of other things. Look at Colorado for instance. They are like locust, once they move in the place is ruined
