Continuance in Katrina gun seizures trial

Posted by David Hardy · 2 January 2008 03:16 PM

NRA and SAF requested and got a continuance in the suit over gun seizures in New Orleans. Trial was set for next month, but they argued they needed more to locate the victims, many of whom have necessarily scattered from the NO area.

The Gun Guys are at it again. They're claiming that the NRA is suing on behalf of "ghosts" since only about 100 of the firearms have been claimed. They neglected to mention that NO is requiring an original reciept or affidavit with the firearm's serial number.

Not the easiest thing to recover if your house was completely flooded and destroyed.

What if the gun-grabbing cops didn't give you a receipt?
