Why does the new always phrase it like this? On the one hand you have the governor saying these bills are crucial to combat the rising tide of gun violence, but on the other hand it will be a hard battle because the NRA opposes the bills.

If once, just once, a MSM reporter said "...but on the other hand it will be a hard battle because these kinds of bills are known to never have worked in any of the many places they've been tried, and studies show that they are completely ineffective at reducing crime." I think I would soil myself from the shock of it.
