A well-balanced article, by the standard of the Times, but it would have been relatively easy for the author to discover how often "black" rifles are used in crime even using pre-2001 statistics.

But that would only serve to undermine the goals of the Brady Center and the Violence Policy Center. And the Times can't have that, can they?

Makes you wonder what their agenda is? The NYT simply cannot be trusted to report facts, there is always something going on behind the facade. The editors will not let it be any other way.
