Guns on campus
Alpheca posts on a debate between two LEOs on the issue. One supports allowing CCW permitees to carry on campus, the other argues police responding to a shooting will be unable to identify who is the murderer and who is the legitimate defender.
Some of the comments are hilarious. E.g.,
"Hint: Bad guys with guns will shoot at the police. Good guys with guns will not.
Hope this helps."

I have not had the ability to carry yet (I reside in Illinois) but I think my initial reaction upon the arrival of LEOs would be to lay down my weapon and let them take over.
I assume the perp would not do so and they could proceed to apprehend him/her.
Given the lead time for a police officers to get there it's likely to be well over before there is a problem, unless you've got multiple groups of bad guys.
I think its real simple. The good guys will comply with LEO requests, and the bad guys won't.
Well any CCW permitee should know that when law enforcement show up, your weapon needs to be holstered. Before they see it. Otherwise, you are risking being engaged. True, if your holding a bad guy at bay, you can't withdraw but you should be aware that your weapon never moves toward the LEO. You let them establish control then surrender your weapon. A simple rule would be, "comply or die"
That seems to be more of a risk for the person who carries. Personally, I'm OK with taking the risk. I'm fairly confident I know how not to be shot dead by police.
