I have an exception to make (though I understand why you said what you said): "A felon now can have firearm rights restored, but a person committed never can obtain such relief."

Actually, a felon is SUPPOSED to have that ability, but as the 2002 U.S. v. Bean case illustrated, Congress has denied funding to the ATF for the administration of the program by which felons can have their right to arms restored, and there is no legal recourse through the courts to remedy this Catch-22.

I am not aware of any change in that funding, are you?
