Carol Moore's book on Waco

Posted by David Hardy · 10 April 2007 06:20 PM

Carol Moore's book on Waco is still in print and can be ordered here. She was the earliest serious researcher on the event, and produced an excellent examination of it.

This might be an excellent book, and completely accurate and well written, but you can't tell it from Ms. Moore's introductory text on her web site: it's so poorly written it's hard to imagine reading an entire book in the same style...

I love the website but it's hard for me to take you seriously when you post stuff like this. There is plenty of blame to go around in the Waco incident but that book is so one-sided you'd think David Koresh probably really was Jesus Christ reincarnated.

Compared to the crimes, atrocities, and cover-ups by the Feds, Koresh does look like Jesus Christ reincarnated.

However anyone may feel about the Branch Davidian's religious practice any American that understands the constitution should be horrified at the government employees actions against them. The really sad and frightening thing is that you can recreate the Federal response against them anytime you want at almost any level of policing. Just try ignoring any cop's instructions and go about your business when you are not commiting any crime. Cops hate being ignored. An example of this happened in Jerseyville, IL, when a young man ignored two local cops that ended up with him dieing after being tazered multiple times. His "crime"? He was walking down the street waving a Bible and talking loudly. Annoying perhaps, but not a capital or violent crime.
