It's here.

Hey...It's good enough for me...what more do you want, a pint of blood and a pound of flesh? He's a good writer, and can be a powerful advocate on our side, especially among the hunting community where many hold similar views to his original statement. Give him a chance to live up to his promise.
How can his audience be so unforgiving!! He apologized. Jim is a great guy and we all know this. You all can't send out the attack dogs and ruin a man's career for what he said and then most sincerely appologized for!
Kudos to The Nuge for taking Zumbo by the hand and showing him the error of his ways. I'd be inclined to forgive him, but I wouldn't relax my vigilance over what he writes from now on...
If he backs up his words with actions, what the heck. As the great LBJ once said about somebody: "I'd rather have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in."
I've been following this saga over at Nugent's place.
Yeah Zumbo f'd up big time and it did take him a day or two to figure out what happened.
However, when he did figure it out he was aghast at his own blunder and is working to undo it.
He's a good enough writer, and respected enough in the 'hunters not gunnies' world that he has a good chance of atoning for his sin in a very short time.
So far I've accepted his apology (I think it was the third one, might have been the fourth - in any case it was after he finally figured things out). He's making remarkable strides toward being forgiven, at least by me.
What started as another wedge to drive between the various 'disciplines' is rapidly turning into a way to bring us closer together. Let us hope it achieves that potential.
The man has shown sincerity and evident contrition for me to think he's not in with the false-flag Sarah Brady hunting association types. If only Schumer, Bloomberg and Soros held similar sentiments.
Perhaps the RKBA community gave Zumbo a "Nuge" in the right direction.
[drum beats, cymbal crash]
I agree that Zumbo has shown contrition. And yes, he is an excellent advocate for injecting the pure RKBA arguments into the always-apathetic but much larger hunting community.
I forgive him, only because he has seen the error of his ways and admitted it. Shame the anti-gunners will never achieve that simple enlightnement. So let's not drive Zumbo out of our tent again by heaping any further abuse on him.
Go forth, Jim, and spread the message to those needing to hear the truth.
Jim gave his all for nearly 40 years to the sport of hunting, and the rights of hunters! He made a mistake in his remarks, but to err is human, and to forgive is divine! I believe Jim is sincere in his apologies, and will do everything in his power to atone for his one lapse of sanity! Should we condemn a man of Jim's caliber, for one mistake? I will reserve judgement until I see the results of his atonement!
"Should we condemn a man of Jim's caliber, for one mistake? I will reserve judgement until I see the results of his atonement!"-Gun44
Absolutely.
I don't want to hear another damn word from him. Not one. Ever.
If he says what we would like to hear, he will be held up by the anti's as coerced and helpless to state his "real" opinions due to the vicious people that ruined his career etc. etc. ad nauseum. If he doesn't say what we want to hear... Oh wait, he already tried to throw us under the bus trying to curry favor with those who don't give a damn about rights or the 2A.
So, like I said, I don't want to hear anything from him. Nothing. At least not on gun rights.
If he can find a ride to write about hunting and get some more "freebies", fine. Punishing him further would accomplish nothing but revenge, which is one of our baser instincts, certainly one of mine, but serves no real purpose any longer in this case. I just want him to shut his mouth about gun rights. No matter what he says now, will harm us.
Unfortunately the appology seems to be acompilation of blog comments I have been reading since this thing broke
