Trial begins in PETA animal cruelty case
The trial of two PETA activists for animal cruelty has begun. I'm not sure the animal cruelty charges will hold up -- I think fraud (obtaining the animals by telling people they would be given a shelter and later good homes) might have better fit the situation as described.

AS A ANIMAL CRUELTY INVESTIGATOR FOR NORTHAMPTON COUNTY IN WHICH THEY CAME IN AND EUTHANIZED MANY MANY ANIMALS JUST A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND THEY ARE STILL AROUND STEALING ANIMALS.I DO NOT THINK THE FELONY CRUELTY CHARGES WILL STICK,THEY SHOULD HAVE CHARGED THEM WITH ILLEGAL PRACTICE OF VETENARIAN MEDICINE ALONG WITH THE DUMPING OF THE ANIMALS.PETA DID WRONG BY LYING TO THESE PEOPLE WHEN THEY PICKED UP THE ANIMALS,I KNEW THEY WERE PUTTING SOME DOWN AFTER THEY WERE PICKING UP SO MANY HERE IN THIS COUNTY,BUT I THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO VIRGINIA,THEY DONOT DESERVE TO GET OUT OF THIS ONE COMPLETLY.
But PETA and "animal cruelty" is so much more poetic.
