New book by Steve Halbrook

Posted by David Hardy · 30 April 2006 10:25 AM

Steve Halbrook has just released "The Swiss and the Nazis: How the Alpine Republic Survived in the Shadow of the Third Reich." It sounds like a very detailed treatment of how the Swiss dealt with Nazi threats and infiltration, remaining a democracy while the rest of Europe fell into a modern Dark Age.

You can find a summary and ordering info here.

In the article, mention was made the Swiss called the Nazis "pigs". If you are going to have total war, give it to the enemy all you got as hard as you can give it to them. Contrast that with the way our government today is tiptoeing around making more effort not to offend the enemy. The guys had written "Hijack this, you faggots" on some missles and the weenie brass made them clean it off so as not to offend the Moslem terrorist pigs in Afghanistan. A slower rate of offense means it takes longer and more of our guys get killed. Exactly what our liberal internal enemies WANT.

You have an error in the comment above. The U.S. Navy did not make the sailors remove the "Hijack this faggots" graffiti on the bomb. It was dropped on Afghanistan WITH the anti-gay comment on it.

And there was never an apology from the U.S. Navy or anyone on that ship for dehumanizing those gay soldiers on the same ship who risked and gave their lives for our country. I can not imagine why you thought the Navy would be concerned about offending "Moslem terrorists" with the offensive words they used on the bomb. The U.S. Navy did not give a damn about them, of course. The SHOCKING thing is that they were so willing to destroy the morale of living, breathing, gay American patriots who were giving their lives for America.

And I happen to know for a fact that this was not the ONLY anti-gay thing done and approved by officers in charge of this ship in the U.S. Navy that same month (Oct. 2001). The way the U.S. Armed Forces have tormented and destroyed gay soldiers, who are often its BEST soldiers, is the Shame of America.
