AZ Senate passes "stand your ground" law

Posted by David Hardy · 11 March 2006 10:11 AM

The AZ Senate voted unanimously to pass SB 1145. The critical language establishes "no retreat" (AZ never had a retreat requirement, but the bill may serve to keep it from being imported thru the backdoor of "there was no reasonable need for force since it was as reasonable to retreat") and establishes a presumption of lawful use of force if the other person was forcibly entering a dwelling or vehicle.

Justified homicide or Stand our ground has been around for about five hundred years. Its starting was in England. The king decreed that it was lawful to kill those who would steal from you with out reprisal. In the seventeenth century if you were twentyone years of age and white you had the right to bet to death with out review any subject on your proberty. Thats wife, kids, slaves. anyone on your land. We have come a long way, yet we are not even close to solving the violence of today. Theirteen thousands death last year in America! Thats 13'000.00. This is a war of silence. Most of us condemn any organization members that spouts hate like the KKK, Right wing christians bombing abortion clinics and Islam extremist. With the Tucson AZ. Colorado and Wis, evil killings the news corps does over time coverage. With 13'000.00 deaths last year not much news here. The Florida case of G. zimmerman stand your ground, the medi has muched it up so bad only a court can get to the truth. Or is that a Maybe. Artical two "the right to bear arms" and the "stand your ground" laws will only get coverage when something bad happens. We the people have the right to bear arms and stand our ground. We also have a consitutional duty in my oipinion to speak out. It is a freedom not enjoyed by manny around the world. In 1938 Germans had the right to speak out, but did not. By 1940 over half the world lost the right to speak out and Hitler marched on. Joseph koney of the Sudan region is now thought to have killed over four hundred thousand people in the last forty years and has abducted an estimated seventy thousand kids under the age of fourteen for his army. Like Hitler at first Koney was praised. No longer do they sing songs of praise for ether of these two. If and only If you have to defend your self OK. In the meantime lets talk to the kids in are areas, pick up phone, go to the moms and dads, call the cops and show up in courts. Remember its "We The People" that make the differnce. Finally I would add the family that prayers togather is more likely to stay togather. If you say we do not pray, thats OK when a two old its guts blowen out I will pray for all of us.
