Demos backing away from gun issue

An interesting article on how Democrats are realizing that their support for gun laws costs them critical votes. Strange to see this in the Boston Globe.

Of course, there is this little fly in the ointment:
while supporting restrictions in urban areas with serious crime problems.

Yeah, if there were even the slightest evidence that gun control lessened crime... But as for me, I don't see why disarming the law-abiding urban population would be a good thing.

Hunters! They still don't get it. Let's not be too easily swayed. The 2nd Amendment is not about hunting. And yes, I am an avid hunter. I'm glad to see the Dems back off for any reason, but have no real faith that they would not attack our rights again as soon as it was politically viable.
