Study on capital punishment

(Via Don Kates): Prof. Cass Sunstein and Adrian Vermeule have an article in the Stanford Law Review, surveying studies on capital punishment. The great majority of the studies appear to indicate it has a substantial deterrent effect on homicide. The Stanford Law Review site is here: keep scrolling down to issue No. 3.
