Irish Pennants notes how the NY Time spins a story. Our troops' Interceptor body armor will stop an AK-47 at 10 feet. Last year the Army predicted that ammo could be improved and this hypothetical future ammo might penetrate it, so they engineered even better plates, some thousands of which are already in the field. NY Times carries the story as -- a year after the need was seen, the Army is still struggling to get body armor to the troops. And here's an interesting case where Time online distorted Condi Rice's photo. (The Times page has now changed it back to normal). (Via Instapundit). Michelle Malkin had an earlier case where USA Today distorted one of her photos to give her eyes a demented glare.
