I'm glad the clerk was not hurt. Not to be too critical, but if its true he had never fired a handgun before, what was he doing carrying one? Maybe the paper got it wrong, and the gun was under the counter or something. But still, if you had been robbed twice in the past, maybe just one trip to the range is in order?

And a warning shot? Seriously? I guess he was reasonably calm during the thing. Still, he is very lucky to be alive.
