New Gallup conclusions

Posted by David Hardy · 8 April 2009 07:21 AM

Gallup's findings indicate public support for gun restrictions is hitting all-time lows.

Comments

..."It is unclear what impact, if any, the recent Binghamton incident may have on Americans' views of gun control"

The shooter's two handguns were registered and he had a NY permit for 12years. exacly what post- heller law would have stopped him?

A separate artical says that he fired 98 rounds in a little over a minute. doesn't sound like he took much time to aim or reload. I'm not sure even one of us (pro carry) could have done much in this case.

This was a true tradegy.

For the recent pittsburg police shooting, the shooter had a dishonerable discharge was a prohibiter person and by law should not have any guns. Enforcement of current gun laws should have stopped this one.

Local TV station is running a similar poll on its website today - http://www.wtva.com/

Vote early and vote often.

The work of Marion Hammer has become the way of America. CCW has done more to further the cause of the 2nd Amendment than any other thing.

The Binghampton shooter was also in a Gun-Free Federal Building, IIRC...that worked really well, didn't it.

And it's still entirely possible for one person with a one shot derringer to stop someone with whatever he had (AK or similar?)if they're defending their own life. There are enough concealable 12 round autoloader pistols out there to have had a stopper in the crowd, except for the Gun Free zone.
