Another reason I'm happy to be in Arizona

A poll of New Yorkers on their newly appointed US Senator finds generally favorable opinions, but

"Because of Gillibrand's pro-gun position and her backing by the National Rifle Assn., 36 percent of New York State voter, including 50 percent of Democrats, are less likely to vote for her when she runs for election next year, while 17 percent are more likely to vote for her. Another 41 percent say this doesn't make a difference."

So, 36% of New Yorkers fear guns. That's fewer than I thought it would be.

That's because the other 64% have illegal guns...

Is it a logical extrapolation to assume that if all the people who like guns move from gun-unfriendly states to gun-friendly states, and people who dislike guns all move from gun-friendly states to gun-unfriendly states, we’d be a nation divided? Would we have another civil war? I think I’d feel safer in a gun-friendly state.

Unfortunately Ms. Gillibrand appears to have moved a little away from her pro-gun roots in her new position. Possibly to make that 41% of new yorkers happy -- though I'd make a bet that the vast majority of that 36% wouldn't vote for her anyway because she's fairly fiscally conservative:

Wish you could edit posts ... all of above was about 36% of anti-gun newyorkers, 41% is a typo.

I got a feeling she'll do what Schumer tells her to do until she gets elected.

I'd trade my representative, Raul buttmunch Grijalva, for her in a New York minute.
