Obama, the Joyce Foundation, and the Heller case
I have a Pajamas Media article up exploring the connection between the three.
UPDATE: the comments to the story have several commenters saying that their Dish Network suddenly began defaulting to the Obama Channel. I had someone say that to me this morning, too. Unless the campaign is paying for the privilege, I'd think that's a thing of value (you'd pay good money for it), and thus an illegal corporate campaign contribution.

An excellent analysis of the Barack Obama-Joyce Foundation connection regarding reinterpretation of the Second Amendment.
In addition to influencing public policy by influencing Federal court decisions, more specifically the Emerson decision from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Chicago-Kent Symposium was intended to bring a considerable number of academic historians into the existing legal community Second Amendment fray in the law review forum for the first time.
This Joyce Foundation Second Amendment historians initiative was continued with their grant to Ohio State University's Second Amendment Center with historian Saul Cornell in charge.
It was Saul Cornell and Carl Bogus, the editor of the Chicago-Kent Symposium on the Second Amendment, who prepared the academics' amicus brief supporting Washington DC in the Heller case. The Supreme Court didn't buy any of it. The facts in this HNN article explain part of the reason why: http://hnn.us/articles/47238.html
The problems for the Joyce Foundation and their funded historians are that the facts of American history directly contradict almost everything they claim about the Second Amendment.
The problem for Obama is how to keep his Second Amendment reinterpretation agenda using Joyce Foundation funding under wraps until after the elections.
David Hardy's article will hopefully bring an end to the widespread ignorance of Sen. Obama's prior efforts to destroy the Second Amendment.
