Ill. State Rifle Assn and NRA have sued to challenge the Chicago handgun ban. And those of its suburbs. Another suit planned against San Francisco.

Comments

Governor Rod Blagojevich says the U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down Washington's ban on handguns is "very scary."

Chicago mayor Richard Daley said he didn't know how the high court ruling would affect the city, but said that the ruling was "a very frightening decision."

No Doubt this decision is "Scary" to numerous Anti-Gun Organizations and Political People who have relied on the mis-interpretation of the 2nd as a "Strong Hold" against the right's of the people. I expect to see numerous Lawsuit's filed across the Nation. Though the Anti-Gun Crowd will by no means "Throw In the Towel"--They have definitly received a Black Eye.

I keep seeing that the NRA is filing suit against San Fran. After escaping California in general I can think of many communist policies of San Fran. that I would like to file suit over, but I thought that even the courts there have consistently ruled that San Fran can't enact any firearms regs stricter than the state? Maybe I'm mistaken, can someone please comment on what exactly the NRA is filing suit regarding?

Re: San Fran - it has to do with the prohibition against people living in Gubb'mint run housing "neighborhoods" (developments) such as the crime ridden Hunters Point "neighborhood," owing handguns for self defense.
