Boston Gun Range may be shut down

Posted by David Hardy · 22 February 2007 05:05 PM

The story is that it allowed persons without a gun permit to rent firearms for temporary use on the range only, and the sheriff contends that wasn't legal (and also that it used human siloulette targets, apparently also forbidden in the state).

Comments

Unless it's changed, my understanding was that it was only human pictures that were verboten in Kennedyland.

This isn't to surprising though. I seem to recall last month there was a range shut down in Worcester because it was determined the whole renting guns thing was a problem if the renters didn't have the proper licenses for the guns they were renting.

When I visited Manchester Firing Line in New Hampshire, there were quite a lot of Massachusetts tags in the parking lot. It's a shame that folks in Massachusetts have to leave the state if they want to try shooting. But it's all about public safety, of course, not about... going out on a limb here... harassing people out of engaging in an activity looked down upon by the political elite.

The Mass. gun law is patently unconstitutional for
there is no direct and immediate EVIL that exists by shutting down this gun range.

The Mass gun law forces you to accept a Bench trial if you are denied a gun license and as everyone knows, Bench trials can only occur if both parties agree to the facts at hand and there are no issues in dispute.

If you disagree with your denial of a license, how can you be mandated to only accept a Bench trial?

The Town of Hanson has banned those under 21 from firing a mchine gun in that Town. So if you are regular military and are 20 years old, you cannot "legally" fire a machine gun in Hanson.

Since when do Towns enact laws that supersede an Act of Congress in the subject matter of firearms?

The Mass. gun law again, is patently unconstitutional, but the court in Mass. are even more corrupt.
