Mayor Bloomberg is celebrating an amendment to NY gun laws that rules out probation, and imposes a 3.5 year sentence, for possession of a loaded firearm without a permit.

We have that here in Mass. It's an additional 5 years for any crime committed with a gun (and carrying a gun without a permit is of course a crime)

One joker got all of 17 days in the slam plus some probation (oh he was already on probabtion for his prior weapons charges)

Don't worry this law is only put there to arrest grandmothers in wheelchairs walking thier dogs. It won't interfear with the wonderful revolving door that make the NY Megalopolis such a wonderful place to live.

I need to move!
