When beauticians attack

Posted by David Hardy · 16 June 2005 03:56 PM

The Shreveport Times reports an interesting case of self defense.

An armed robber tried to knock over Blalock's Beauty College, threatening the owner and her pupils with a revolver. He grabbed the money and ran, whereupon the owner, Dianne Mitchell, tripped him and dove atop him, calling for her students to help. They grabbed whatever was handy and proceeded to, very literally, beat the p_ss out of him.

Reminds me of a story a prosecutor here in Tucson told me. Someone broke into the kitchen of the convent at All Saint's School (since closed down). A nun walked in and he exposed himself to her. She figured rape would follow.

He made a big mistake. These were Old Nuns. You know, the ones who rough up Marine DOs on weekends and cannot be killed by any conventional weapon.

She grabbed him by his exposed member ("So long as I had hold of it, he wasn't going to be doing anything with it") and yanked. He shrieked in pain and knocked her down. She held on and kept pulling. Screaming he began hitting her over the head.

The rest of the nuns heard the battle and rushed into the kitchen. Seizing cast iron skillets, they began to play the Sledgehammer Concerto on the guy's head and shoulders. He's standing there, being beaten to a pulp and emasculated at the same time.

Finally one tired and called 911. Police reported that he offered no resistance to arrest.
