About me: I'm an Arizona attorney, with 30 years' experience, specializing in firearms law.
I've argued and won gun cases in courts up to the U.S. Supreme Court.
I helped to write the 1986 amendments to the Gun Control Act (which made it possible to get firearms rights restored by a State court), and my article on those amendments has been cited as authority by the U.S. Supreme Court and by eleven of the thirteen U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals. I operate the gun law blog Arms and the Law. More.
What I can do to get firearms rights restored:
State felony: draft and file motion for restoration of rights.
State misdemeanor: draft and file motion to set aside conviction.
Delinquency adjudication: refer you to attorneys who handle those matters.
Federal offense, and other disqualifying grounds (mental committment, dishonorable discharge, etc.): there's nothing anyone can do until Congress amends a budget rider.
