The Violence Policy Center (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Joyce Foundation) agrees. They just released a "report" on Ruger's Mini-14, "the Poor Man's Assault Rifle".

Ruger has for some time been selling/shipping handguns and rifles with over-10-round magazines.

Their current Mini-14s also come optionally with "tactical" stocks - though those are not as good as the original 'ranch folder' design of the late 80s/90s.

Both Ruger and S&W have reconstituted and dissociated themselves from past compromises of prior management regimes.
